At Primer Pharmaceuticals, our mission is to develop next-generation small molecule drugs that potentiate common first- and second-line antibiotics to bolster antibiotic therapy against everyday bacterial infections. 

Antibiotics are the most important drug class and vital for global health, yet their efficacy is under threat with the rise of antibiotic resistance. We believe that a new type of antibiotic adjuvant will improve and protect the efficacy of existing high-use antibiotics. We are a preclinical R&D company using a proprietary drug discovery platform to bring forth new adjuvant drugs that pair with a range of commonly used antibiotic classes. Developing new adjuvant drugs that enhance common antibiotics have the potential to reduce resistance emergence and further improve bacterial killing, which would have a significant positive impact on health outcomes.
